<description>STONEHAM, MA - Stoneham&amp;#039;s budgetary woes suddenly don&amp;#039;t seem so bleak these days, as local officials are projecting that the town will have at least $1.2 million in additional revenues for the FY&amp;#039;10 budget.  



During a recent meeting, Selectman Paul Rotondi convinced his counterparts to accept a working department budget figure of $53,991,688 for next year.  



That figure, which doesn&amp;#039;t include expenditures for water and sewer services, is approximately $200,000 below the current year budget of $53,991,688.

<description>STONEHAM, MA - An 83-year-old Stoneham man died and a young girl was injured by an alleged drunk driver in two separate pedestrian accidents along Main Street this week.



According to police, Hancock Street resident Albert Paradiso was struck by a van at approximately 6 a.m. on Monday morning as he was walking north on Main Street and attempting to cross Elm Street in a crosswalk.



Paramedics found the accident victim laying unresponsive in the roadway and he was transported to the Lahey Clinic with life-threatening injuries.  He was pronounced dead at the hospital on Monday evening. ...
